Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she achieved straight As for A-levels. Coleman regrets not having have a typical university education when discussing her Emmerdale experience. Coleman became a member of the theater group, In Yer Space while in school. They performed during the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. A prize was given to her for her show, and the production was received well. Coleman is looking to audition for drama college in 2005, landed Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. In 2007 Coleman was nominated for two Awards. Coleman won two nominations in 2007 for Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer in the National Television Awards. In 2009, the British Soap Awards 2009 nominated Coleman in category of Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and the category for Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman has replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series and was to play the role alongside Matt Smith. Moffat stated that he picked Coleman for the role of companion because she would work best with Smith. Also, Moffat noted that she spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's worked in film and television projects. Her most well-known work is her work on television than in films. Eva is best known for her roles as Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas in CSI Miami. The first role she played on TV earned her the show two Daytime Emmy nominations, and allowed her to develop her passion for music. Eva is, along with acting as an actress, is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and business owner. The third man she has married is the father of her daughter.
