Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a family of mixed blood. Madekwe is English, and her father was Nigerian. Her family was raised in an estate in South London community estate, as a teenager, she 14, attended The Brit School. She went to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an acting BA. As a student at the academy and performing in numerous stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe launched her acting career with the movie Storm Damage. She has since made appearances on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut came from that of the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Following that she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. In 2008 she landed Bambi's role on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe starred as the lead character in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy released in the year 2008. Her credits in theatre include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut in the 2009 Drama series The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. After being a regular for the first two seasons, it was reported in late May 2013 that Madekwe was set to quit the show following a guest appearance in the first episode from the 3rd season. In 2014 and 2016, she starred as Tituba in the TV series Salem. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. They've worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he was a character in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty along with her older brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey during the winter and summer months. They grew up playing stadiums and played baseball. Ashley was unable to walk, but was able to dance. This led to the fact that at the age of 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was captivated by dance at this age. Ashley performed in competitive ballet, jazz and tap at the top divisions. Top soloists at major competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which were all given to Ashley.
